These days in the Gulf of Cugnana and the stretch of sea along the Costa Smeralda, the official shootings of the new models from Groupe Bénéteau, the world’s largest yacht manufacturer, are underway. The Group includes some of the most prestigious brands in the sector and recorded a turnover of over one billion euros in 2024. The stars of the shoot are the brand-new Lagoon Eighty2, a next-generation luxury catamaran, and the Oceanis 47 and 52, the new flagship sailing yachts of the French brand.
The operational base for the shooting is Marina Cala dei Sardi, which once again confirms itself as a benchmark for international yachting. The choice of the Beneteau Group to carry out the shootings here is no coincidence: in addition to the unique beauty of the Gallura coastline, the decision stems from the commitment and vision of Simone Morelli, CEO of NSS Group, the company that owns Cala dei Sardi and NSS Yachting, the official dealer in Italy for Beneteau and Lagoon.

Thanks to his constant investment in the region and his ability to create relationships and opportunities for the entire supply chain, Morelli played a decisive role in bringing this important project to Sardinia. The images and videos produced during these days will be used by Beneteau and Lagoon for the global promotion of the new models and, in turn, also of Gallura, which will be showcased at all the major international boat shows.
«This is an extraordinary communication initiative,» explains Simone Morelli, «which strengthens Sardinia’s role, and in particular the Northeast, as a strategic hub for Mediterranean yachting.»
Cala dei Sardi and Simone Morelli are no strangers to internationally significant initiatives: in the past, the marina was chosen for the Italian premieres of the Lagoon 51 and 55. Moreover, the facility hosted the visit of Amerigo Vespucci and Nave Palinuro during events organized by the Yacht Club Cala dei Sardi.

«We are proud that the Beneteau Group has chosen Sardinia to present its new models to the world,» Morelli continues. «This confirms the extraordinary appeal of our territory and the work we are carrying out to make Cala dei Sardi and Gallura a year-round point of reference for the yachting sector. Opportunities like these help consolidate our sea as a global showcase and open up new avenues for growth, thanks to the synergy between businesses and the local area.»
Through initiatives like these, Marina Cala dei Sardi, renowned for its eco-friendly hospitality model, continues to bring life to the region even during the low season, generating value and economic impact for the entire local supply chain.
