Exclusive Days by Lagoon are currently underway in Bordeaux, where the shipyard has presented the world premiere to its dealers and a select group of customers of the inaugural model of the innovative 60’.

The Lagoon 60 was announced last September during the Cannes Yachting Festival. It is an innovative catamaran distinguished by its opening stern terraces that open onto the sea, thereby expanding the aft living area.

"This new 60 fits between the 55 and the Sixty5, enhancing the range in the luxury segment where the shipyard is increasingly making its mark in the market," explains Simone Morelli, European Best Dealer of the shipyard with NSS Yachting for four years.

Morelli, present in Bordeaux these days, reveals that sea trials will take place in Palma de Mallorca in June, while the World Premiere for the general public is scheduled for the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival from September 10 to 15, 2024. Subsequently, from the 19th to the 24th, the boat will be exhibited at the Genoa Boat Show. However, the possibility of the shipyard planning a Summer Tour where the new 60 will be presented in the main Mediterranean locations with open days for the public is not excluded. Among these, certainly Cala dei Sardi, which already hosted the 55 in 2021 and the 51 in 2022, the only base where it is possible to admire and test the entire range of Lagoon catamarans, from the 40' up to the flagship, the Seventy7.

"The philosophy of this new model," continues Morelli, "follows the idea of a true sea terrace, expanding the spaces of the aft living area thanks to the innovation of the opening bulwarks. The Lagoon 60 is a catamaran characterized by solutions that make life on board extremely comfortable, such as the possibility of moving around the bow sofas by passing through the dinette. There are primarily two versions of this model: in the owner's layout, the kitchen is arranged in one of the two hulls, leaving the living area free, while in the 5-cabin layout, the configuration is more traditional. The flying bridge, with a spacious 27 square meters, like all Lagoons, is the control area with all maneuvers within easy reach, but above all, it is the place where one can enjoy privacy and relax thanks to the large lounge and sunbathing area.”

And on the occasion of these Exclusive Days, NSS Yachting has concluded the sale of the first model in the Italian market, with delivery scheduled for 2025. The launch of the 60 represents an important milestone for Lagoon, which is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the shipyard in 2024. Since 1984, the brand has been a prominent presence in the market. A symbol of elegance, comfort, and reliability at sea, Lagoon is the world leader in the cruise catamaran sector with just under 7,000 catamarans built.
