The new Lagoon Seventy8 has been officially handed over to its owner, marking the first sale of this model in Italy by NSS Yachting, led by Simone Morelli, the main European dealer for the shipyard. Named Zenit, this flagship motor yacht of Lagoon was the centerpiece of a christening ceremony at Marina di Cala dei Sardi, attended by key civil and military authorities and blessed by the parish priest of San Pantaleo, Don Jacek Meczel.

The Lagoon Seventy8 is striking for its elegance and grandeur. As the shipyard's flagship, this latest-generation motor catamaran measures 23.80 meters in length and 11 meters in width, which, combined with the generous flying bridge, results in an area of approximately 320 square meters—the equivalent of a seaside villa. Like all Lagoon models, the interiors are designed by the Italian design studio Nauta Design, the waterlines are the work of the French VPLP, and the aesthetics are crafted by renowned designer Patrick le Quément.

"The owner's choice for Zenit," explains Simone Morelli, "was to combine the typical comfort of a catamaran with the speed of a motor yacht. The Seventy8 can exceed 20 knots and maintain a cruising speed of 12-14 knots. It is the perfect alternative to a motor yacht, offering much greater stability. The catamaran does not require stabilizers, and the wave passage is much smoother."

The Seventy8 boasts ample space, from the aft living area to the forward lounge, passing through the interior salon, and can be configured by the client in various layouts with customizable cabin numbers. The left hull can be designed in several ways, while the right hull features two cabins, one aft and a large owner's cabin in the forward section with the option of a folding balcony. This innovative solution allows the spacious and bright cabin to transform into a private space with direct sea access when the balcony is open—a true luxury. On the upper deck, the flying bridge offers panoramic views and a relaxed living space with sofas, armchairs, sunbeds, and, upon request, a Jacuzzi. High-quality finishes and materials, both indoors and outdoors, along with refined design, make this yacht perfect for sophisticated and demanding clientele.

"In recent years, we have seen the rise of sailing catamarans," continues Morelli, "and the sale of the Seventy8 indicates the beginning of a market offering a very interesting alternative for those who want a beautiful, functional boat with ample space but do not intend to purchase a 50-meter yacht or larger. Additionally, with the Seventy8, we are expanding our offering to the ultra-luxury charter market. In fact, Zenit, purchased with the management program and after the agreed vacation period with the owner, will be available in the NSS First Class fleet, which already includes models Seventy7, Sixty5, 620, and 55.”
